I can always spend it at the office cafeteria... but seriously, the food sucks so why torture the lovable self?
Sometimes, the food sucks so back that I have this urge to just grab the cafeteria operator by the neck, wring it and shout into his ears just to show my spite but being the rational being that I am, I know it won't amount to much.
Not yet anyway.
So uhh... where was I?
Ah yes. Lunch.
Lunch is a symbol of status and power.
Having lunch alone is totally uncool (Boss, you really should listen to me on this one).
But, as powerful as the proverbial lunch is, another issue rears it ugly head everyday as the sun stands in that very spot that contributes to restless tummies.
Price.
If you hear the sound of yelping in pain, it's just economics biting me in the ass for not paying attention in class all those years. Opportunity cost was it? Uhmmm right, something.
Forgoing lunch at the cafeteria (horrible but relatively cheap food) means subjecting myself to proper food outside (price varies+petrol). So yeah, all the more reason to have friends (Boss, you really need to pay attention here).
Excerpts from a conversation with a friend.

Of course. The price is different. Silly me.
How evil. So, I decided to ask another KL person.
(I don't really consider myself KL but... yeah.)
me:RM4 for lunch. Strictly FYI, but I spent about RM6.30 for lunch today... courtesy of Baker's Cottage.

victim2:

victim2:

me:

victim2:
hmm rm4
me:
hmmmmmmm
biasa ko makan apa yg average rm5 tu?
victim2:
nasik campur la
nasik+ayam+sayur = rm4
nasik+ikan+sayur = rm4
nasik+daging+sayur = rm5
me:

victim2:
kau buat survey apa ni
me:
saja tertanya
So how?
Lately I've had a serious loss of appetite and has found solace in lighter food such as bread but damn they never fill you up long enough, even with tuna. RM6 as opposed to RM4 from a KL person means I'm spending too much.
DEAR LORD, when is the next salary coming in???
It's times like these that you realize it's always much easier to have lunch with friends around you... maybe if you're lucky, they'll even pay for you.... and one day, that turn will definitely fall to you.
So I guess my boss is a genius after all.
